This Week —

School These days are a bit tough with a return to some anxiety and overwhelm but I hope you are finding time to create little pockets of joy and gratefulness. Here is my new year’s wish for you: May you find something in common with your child that you both love to do together, and may you have the time and space to do so. It can be often or rarely, 5 minutes or 45. Whatever works for you. Be present in every second and treasure this moment. Simple, imperfect, and genuine.

Listen To —

In an attempt to crack open up those pockets of joy, this week I’ve made you a playlist bursting with energy and swing! Authentic jazz big bands from the 20’s to the 50’s that will get the whole family dancing and grooving! So I encourage you to put this playlist on, shake out all that anxiety, and connect to hope/optimism/faith for this new year, 2022.

I’ll leave you with this one last thought from Susan Sontag: “Kindness, kindness, kindness. I want to make a new year's prayer, not a resolution.”

Happy New Year
